Congratulations to Project Manager Lauren Kaufmann, our latest team member to complete all the requirements to call herself Lauren Kaufmann, Architect. Many people within the industry are familiar with the requirements to become a licensed architect, but NYS and NCARB (the National Licensing Body) have been changing things in the past few years. Lauren completed 12+ years of work experience under a licensed architect, completed 7600+ hours in the Intern Development Program within varying areas of the profession, and finally, passed the required 5(!) Architect Registration Exams. Lauren has a passion for the built environment and believes it was important to become part of the growing number of licensed female architects in the field.
Lauren has been with Flynn Battaglia Architects since 2005, when she was an intern through a program at Erie Community College. She has since been a valued member of the FBA team from drawing in CAD, bringing the office into REVIT and now Project Managing some of our most recent successful projects. Lauren was the Project Manager for the Daemen College – Academic & Wellness Center, completed in 2015 and the Nichols School – Student Commons, completed in 2019. She is currently balancing Construction Administration for the SUNY Brockport – Allen Hall Exterior Renovation Project and design for the SUNY Geneseo – Sturges Hall Renovation Project as well as several other smaller projects.
