Dear friends,
This was quite a year for Flynn Battaglia Architects! Spring saw the transition of the firm's ownership from founding principals Ron Battaglia and Peter Flynn to the next generation of leadership, Lauren Kaufmann, Christopher Less, and Nancy Redeye. Fall came, and Flynn Battaglia relocated from the Market Arcade building (our headquarters for 25 years!) to brand new offices in the Brisbane Building in downtown Buffalo.
2024 was an exciting time for new projects! FBA was chosen to lead the design team for the renovation of Buffalo's historic Broadway Market, the firm is engaged in designing major renovations of the stage and auditorium at the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, and we have continued our work on other historic projects: the greenhouse complex at the Olmsted Martin Luther King Jr. Park, Gowanda's Hollywood Theater, McKinley Monument in downtown Buffalo, and the African American Cultural Center on Masten Avenue. We have seen design and construction progress on our higher education projects at SUNY Geneseo, Cornell University, SUNY Fredonia, University at Buffalo and Buffalo State University. FBA also welcomed new Architectural Designer John Mark Silbert Nachbar to the team this spring!
As the firm continues to navigate transitions and new opportunities, we reflect with gratitude on the long history of service and many accomplishments under Ron and Peter's leadership, and we look forward to continuing the tradition and enjoying a productive 2025 as we pursue WBE certification!
Warm wishes and happy holidays to all!
