Flynn Battaglia Architects is thrilled to announce its next generation of leadership! Through an internal transition, Lauren Kaufmann, AIA and Christopher Less, AIA have been elevated to principals of the firm. Peter Flynn, AIA and Ron Battaglia, FAIA, the founding partners, have retired from the practice: "After 35 years of success, wonderful clients, and award-winning projects, Peter Flynn and Ron Battaglia enthusiastically welcome Lauren Kaufmann and Christopher Less as new Principals of Flynn Battaglia Architects. Our long-planned ownership transition was successfully completed February 29, 2024. We see a very optimistic future for the firm and its new principals, Chris as Design Principal and Lauren as Managing Principal. They will continue the firm's market traditions in historic preservation, higher education, planning, and public architecture."
As Managing Principal of Flynn Battaglia, Lauren Kaufmann, who has been with FBA for nearly 20 years, will lead the day-to-day operations and financial administration of the firm. Lauren has been heavily engaged in firm management activities for the past few years while working on some of the firm’s most significant projects.
As Design Principal, Christopher Less will coordinate project teams, concentrating on the continuous improvement of the firm while delivering high quality architectural services to our clients. Chris has been with the firm for over 15 years and has over 4 decades of experience in the profession.
The new ownership of the firm will endeavor to navigate a seamless transition, continuing the legacy that Flynn Battaglia Architects has built during its 35 years of operation. Our focused areas of practice continue to be Higher Education and Historic Preservation throughout Western New York and New York State.
On this International Women's Day 2024, we are pleased to announce that Flynn Battaglia Architects is now pursuing certification as a New York State Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE).
