O’Brian Hall, constructed in 1970 as the Law School for the University at Buffalo, was in need of modernization to accommodate a new conference center and faculty lounge. After defining the program with the project committee, numerous planning layouts were created to determine if the program could fit within the confines of the existing corridor and exterior walls. Flynn Battaglia Architects created a conference center for the Baldy Center to conduct seminars, classes and executive meetings as well as a reception area, catering kitchen and an expanded Faculty Lounge.
